A book to follow Eat Pray Love and the unwedded bliss found with Felipe, her Balinese love. Both are shell shocked survivors of divorce and much of the book is spent delving into the origins of marriage around the world to hopefully reduce their fear of it!

Elizabeth and Felipe swore eternal fidelity to each other, but also swore to never, ever, under any circumstances get legally married. So what do they do when the U.S. government decrees that they can get married or Felipe will never be allowed to enter the country again? Readers of Eat, Pray, Love will recall that Elizabeth Gilbert met and fell in love with Felipe in Indonesia. Both survivors of difficult divorces, they decide that they will not marry and move back to America to continue their lives together. When Filipe and Elizabeth are forced by the U.S. government to consider marriage, Elizabeth embarks on a challenging and soul-searching investigation to discover what marriage actually is. The result is Committed and it is a valuable insight for any person hovering on the verge of marriage
